What not to use for emergencies

Please do not use the following for emergencies:

• Website contact forms

• Email

• Voicemail

• Appointment requests

• Client portals

• Social media messages

• Text messages or informal messaging

• Any platform used for scheduling or administrative communication

These channels may not be monitored immediately and should not be used if you are in danger, feel unable to stay safe, or need urgent support.

If you are in immediate danger, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. For crisis support, call or text 988. You can also text HOME to 741741 for Crisis Text Line support.

Additional support notes

Crisis support can be useful for many kinds of urgent distress. You do not have to know exactly what kind of help you need before reaching out.

Veterans, service members, and loved ones can reach the Veterans Crisis Line by calling 988 and pressing 1, texting 838255, or using online chat.

If you are outside the United States, use your local emergency number or local crisis resources. Crisis numbers and emergency services vary by country and region.

Support in a crisis should come from crisis resources.

Authentic Arch Counseling can support ongoing outpatient therapy needs, but crisis and emergency situations require immediate crisis or emergency support. Once immediate safety needs are addressed, therapy can be part of continued care, reflection, and support.
