Good Faith Estimate.

Information for self-pay and uninsured clients about expected therapy costs.

If you are not using insurance or are choosing not to use insurance, you may be entitled to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected cost of therapy services before beginning care.

A Good Faith Estimate is intended to help you understand expected charges for scheduled services. It is not a contract, and actual costs may vary depending on the services provided, changes in care, cancellations, frequency of sessions, or other clinical and administrative factors.

What is included in a Good Faith Estimate

A Good Faith Estimate provides expected charges for therapy services when you are not using insurance or are choosing not to use insurance.

The estimate includes expected charges for scheduled therapy services, such as intake sessions and ongoing individual therapy sessions.

The estimate may reflect an expected session frequency, such as weekly or biweekly therapy, based on the plan discussed before care begins.

Direct Authentic Arch Counseling fees are $225 for the initial intake session and $175 for each 50-minute individual therapy session.

A Good Faith Estimate is not a bill or a contract. Actual costs may vary if the type, length, or frequency of services changes.

If your therapy needs, session frequency, or access pathway changes, your expected costs may also change.

When you may receive a Good Faith Estimate

You may receive a Good Faith Estimate if you are uninsured, choosing not to use insurance, or paying directly for therapy services.

If you are paying directly for therapy and not using insurance, a Good Faith Estimate may help you understand expected costs before care begins.

If you have insurance but choose not to use it for therapy, you may still be considered self-pay for the purpose of receiving a Good Faith Estimate.

A Good Faith Estimate is generally provided before scheduled care when enough advance notice is available.

You may request a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling therapy services.

Good Faith Estimates apply to expected costs for services when you are not using insurance. If you access therapy through a platform or program, cost information may need to be confirmed through that specific access pathway.

If your costs change

A Good Faith Estimate is based on the information available before services begin. Your actual costs may change if your therapy plan, session frequency, access pathway, or service needs change.

Changes in session frequency

If you attend therapy more or less often than expected, your total cost may be different from the estimate.

Changes in access pathway

If you begin using insurance, a platform, or another access pathway, billing and cost information may need to be updated.

Changes in service type

If the type, length, or structure of services changes, the expected cost may also change.

Questions or concerns

If you have questions about your estimate, fees, or expected costs, you are welcome to reach out before beginning care.

If you receive a bill that is substantially higher than your Good Faith Estimate, you may have rights under the No Surprises Act’s patient-provider dispute process.
