Start here.

A clear first step toward therapy that can hold more of your real story.

If you are considering therapy with Authentic Arch Counseling, this page will help you understand what to review before reaching out, including location requirements, access pathways, fees, and whether this practice may be a good fit for your current needs.

You do not have to know the perfect platform or have everything figured out before making contact. The goal is simply to identify the next right step.

Before reaching out

A few details can help clarify whether Authentic Arch Counseling is the right fit and which access pathway may make the most sense.

Therapy is available for adults who are physically located in Massachusetts, Maine, or Washington at the time of session.

Authentic Arch Counseling provides virtual outpatient individual therapy for adults. This practice does not provide therapy for children or teens, family therapy, emergency care, or 24/7 support.

You may access therapy through SimplePractice, Tava Health, Atreyu Therapy Cottage, Open Path, Pineapple Support, or Tau Mental Health once available in Fall 2026.

If you are in immediate danger or need urgent crisis support, please use crisis or emergency resources rather than waiting for a therapy response.

How to start

Starting therapy does not have to begin with knowing every detail. These steps can help you move from “I think I need support” to a clearer next step.

Review the Fees & Access section to understand location requirements, direct AAC fees, platform options, and whether one of the access pathways may apply to you.

If you know your access pathway, you can use the appropriate platform link. If you are unsure, you can contact Philip before scheduling so the next step can be clarified.

Before therapy begins, you may need to complete intake paperwork, consent forms, platform registration, insurance or eligibility verification, and any required scheduling steps.

What to include when you reach out

You do not need to share your whole story in your first message. A few practical details can help clarify whether this practice is a good fit and which access pathway may apply.

Please include the state where you will be physically located for therapy sessions: Massachusetts, Maine, or Washington.

A sentence or two about what you are hoping therapy can support is enough. You do not need to explain everything before we meet.

If you know your access pathway, mention whether you are using a platform, referral program, or direct AAC access.

If you have specific scheduling needs, please include any days or times that generally work best for you.

Please do not include urgent crisis information in a website form or email. If you are in immediate danger, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. For crisis support, call or text 988.

What happens after you reach out

After you make contact, the next step is to clarify fit, access, and whether there is an appropriate opening for care.

I will review the information you share, including your location, access pathway, scheduling needs, and what you are hoping therapy can support.

If therapy seems like a possible fit, we will clarify the appropriate platform, paperwork, fees or billing pathway, and scheduling options.

Before the first session, any required forms, consent documents, platform steps, payment details, or eligibility requirements will need to be completed.

Reaching out does not guarantee availability or establish a therapy relationship. A therapy relationship begins only after fit, access, consent, paperwork, and scheduling are confirmed.

Ready to take the next step?

You do not have to have everything perfectly organized before reaching out. If you are physically located in Massachusetts, Maine, or Washington and are looking for adult outpatient therapy, we can begin by clarifying fit, access, fees, and next steps.

If you are unsure which platform or access pathway applies to you, that can be part of the first conversation.
