Trauma-Responsive & Person-Centered Care
Relational, Outpatient Telehealth for Individual Adults in MA, ME, and WA
Many traditional therapy spaces approach trauma by asking: "What is wrong with you, and how do we fix your diagnoses?" In this practice, we completely invert that question. We look honestly at what you have lived through, how you survived, and how the strategies you built to navigate high-stakes, rigid, or unyielding environments are impacting your daily life today. We treat your current struggles not as personal failures, but as intelligent, historical adaptations.
You Are the Author of Your Own Story
Person-centered care means that I do not sit across from you as an aloof, blank-slate institutional authority who claims to know you better than you know yourself. You are the absolute expert on your own life, your values, and your internal boundaries.
My role as a therapist is to provide a grounded, collaborative, and entirely non-judgmental partnership. We work together to create an environment of complete safety and context—a space where you can stop performing strength, drop your daily armor, and explore your history without shame.
Because my approach is deeply trauma-responsive, we do not force your nervous system into overwhelming memories or push you to tear down your defenses before your body is ready. We respect your internal pacing, ensuring you always keep control of the brake pedal in our sessions.
The Core Principles of Our Work
In our one-on-one virtual sessions, we blend relational warmth with nervous-system-aware strategies to restore your self-trust:
Honoring Your Survival Adaptations: We stop pathologizing your anxiety, low mood, or over-functioning loops. Instead, we acknowledge them as the brilliant defensive tools that kept you safe, connected, or employable when room for your actual truth was scarce.
Collaborative, Client-Led Pacing: We move at a speed that respects your autonomic nervous system. We focus on building your internal capacity and somatic grounding step-by-step, ensuring therapy feels like a secure container rather than a destabilizing experience.
Dismantling Hierarchical Scripts: For individuals who have spent a lifetime navigating rigid family networks, intense military expectations, or demanding religious systems, we practice a different way of relating. Our alliance is built on equality, direct honesty, and mutual respect.
Identity & Context Affirmation: We hold space for the full reality of your intersectional identity. This is a fully affirming, context-rich environment that welcomes LGBTQIA+ adults, veterans, and individuals navigating alternative relational structures (ENM/polyamory) or kink dynamics.
The Practical Framework: Scope, Fees & Access
We believe that professional therapy requires absolute transparency around logistics, fees, and boundaries. Clear, predictable structures build clinical self-trust and clarity, allowing us to focus entirely on your growth. Because Authentic Arch Counseling operates across multiple states and partner networks, your care parameters and billing options depend on how you access our practice.
Telehealth Focus: All sessions are conducted via a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. You must be physically located in Massachusetts, Maine, or Washington at the exact time of your session.
Practice Scope: This is an outpatient practice for individual adults only. We do not provide child/adolescent therapy, couples counseling, family mediation, or emergency/crisis services.
Evaluations Policy: Our work is strictly clinical and therapeutic. We do not offer standalone psychological testing, forensic evaluations, or documentation for court proceedings, custody disputes, disability claims, FMLA leave, or third-party lifestyle assessments.
Direct Private Pay Rates: Initial Intake Assessment is $250. Standard Individual Sessions are $200 (53-minute duration).
Insurance & Funding Pathways: We do not accept or bill health insurance networks directly under the Authentic Arch practice name. However, you can utilize your standard in-network insurance benefits strictly when booking and billing through our approved outside platform partners, such as Tava Health. If you choose direct private pay but carry out-of-network benefits, we can provide a monthly clinical statement (a "Superbill") for potential partial reimbursement. We also coordinate with programs like Atreyu Therapy Cottage, Pineapple Support, and Tau Mental Health (Coming Fall 2026) to provide specialized access pathways for eligible individuals.
Coverage & Access Verification: Eligibility, documentation requirements, and actual out-of-pocket session fees vary significantly by platform, state, and your specific insurance policy. We cannot guarantee network coverage or immediate platform availability. It is always your responsibility to verify your out-of-network or platform benefits with your insurance carrier prior to requesting care.
Step Out of Survival Mode
You do not need to wrap your history in a simplified package or find the perfect words before you step into care here. Let’s sit with exactly what is here and build a steadier path forward together.
Administrative Notice: Submitting an inquiry via Cal.com is an administrative request to check scheduling availability and cross-state licensing compliance. It does not establish an active clinical relationship. A formal therapeutic contract is established only after clinical fit is mutually confirmed and your intake portal documentation is completed. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency or acute crisis, please call 911 or call/text 988 immediately.
